How Does it Work?

You select your chain, charms, and connectors, we then size and cut your chain, attached any charms or connectors and complete the final weld to the area of your choosing. Our welding machine creates a small spark to close your piece of jewelry.

What Materials Do You Use?

All of our chains, charms, connectors and jump rings come in 14k gold filled, 14k rose gold filled, or sterling silver. Read more about types of metals here.

Does it Hurt?

No - not at all! The tiny spark that comes our welding machine will not come into contact with your skin. As an extra layer of precaution, we use a leather patch between the chain and your skin, but even without the patch - you would never feel a thing!

Does it Last Forever?

Permanent jewelry does not mean indestructible! With proper care, your piece of jewelry can be expected to last until you are ready to remove it. Read more about caring for your jewelry here.

Can it be Removed?

The chains that are applied during the process are designed to last, however - if you need to remove your jewelry for any reason, you can easily do so with a pair of scissors or nail clippers. Be sure to save your chain so we can re-weld it for you.

What if it Breaks?

In the event that a breakage occurs, Ember + Gold will re-weld the piece back onto you for free. However, we cannot offer free replacements for lost or stolen jewelry.

Policies

  • A $30 deposit is required to book in studio appointments and a $50 deposit is required for private parties. All paid deposits will be applied toward your final cost. This deposit is non-refundable, but is transferable to another day/time if requested within 48 hours of the original scheduled party. Deposits are forfeited in the event of a no-show or cancellation with less than 48 hours notice.

  • A waiver must be completed and signed prior to your appointment and receiving your permanent jewelry. Refusal to sign a waiver will result in a cancellation of appointment and a forfeit of any deposits made.

  • We offer a 30 day warranty on all welded jewelry. We will provide a FREE re-weld for any jewelry that has fallen off or has been removed within 30 days. All chains, charms, and connectors bring replaced must have been purchased from Ember + Gold for the warranty to apply. We cannot replace any lost or stolen jewelry.

  • All sales are final once the chain has been cut. Purchases are not eligible for refunds for any reason.
